Nestled deep in the heart of the North Georgia Mountains, lies Chota Falls. It’s a place that may not have been created for weddings, but it found its calling with this one! On Labor Day weekend, I was thrilled to land in a photographer’s paradise, for Heather and Graham’s nuptials. Heather is my wife’s cousin, and was a big part of our wedding day, so shooting her big day, was extra special. Graham is Canadian but also of Scottish decent, so their wedding had a Scottish touch to it! The bride wore a white, fitted, yet classic gown. Her bridesmaids wore black dresses accented with red, and the bouquets were wrapped with a red Scottish plaid cloth, to stick with the theme. The groom, and his men wore traditional Scottish kilts, with the best man carrying a Scottish sword, holding true to the country’s wedding tradition. The waterfalls were the backdrop to their “I Do’s,” and the resort’s grounds made for perfect pictures throughout the evening. The wedding was as unique yet as beautiful as the bride and groom. They both love the movie, Star Wars, and added subtle details from the movie, to their wedding day décor. Stormtroopers and lightsabers even made a few flash appearances! The dance floor was packed with party guests, inside the Chota Falls dining room. After dining, drinks and speeches, a walkway of sparklers led the newlyweds into the night, as they were given well-wishes by their family and friends. Heather and Graham’s wedding day was one I doubt will ever be matched, in its beauty, and natural elegance. Thank you to the wonderful couple for letting me capture your wedding day!
